We’re someone who doesn’t know whether we’ll have enough money to make this month’s rent; we get sick and tough it out. We’ve lost our homes. We try to move a mountain of debt that never seems to get smaller; we get a second job- if we’re lucky to have ONE. We take classes. It’s not enough. It never is. Each month we make it is a victory, but once we’re over the hump, we cringe about the next one.
“If you’d only apply yourself a little more, worked a little harder, planned a little better...”. They say you have no one to blame but yourself. They are the 1%; they are the banks and the industries; they need help, they get bailed out. We need help and we’re called “entitled”.
Where's the change for which we voted? We are mothers, fathers, sons, daughters. We are the 99%. We NEED HELP!
