May 19 is National Schizencephaly Awareness Day
It shall be proclaimed: 
WHEREAS schizencephaly can be a chronic condition that may cause epilepsy, muscle spams, partial or complete paralysis, low ision and severe medical complications; and 
WHEREAS patients with this condition often have to learn to live with continued therapies and medical expenses; and 
WHEREAS it may take years to receive a diagnosis of schizencephaly, and medical professionals frequently are inadequately educated on the diagnosis and treatment of schizencephaly; and 
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ______________________, do hereby recognize the needs of these people and proclaim May 19 as Schizencephaly Awareness Day
