Through our steadfast will, there can among us be thriftiness, for of all good things and thoughts, few are so outstanding, or so readily tied to all kinds of men's lives. And, what is most wonderful, it is a quick pathway to goodness and wisdom, and, even though nowadays we deem buying the last, and highest end, and greatest of all new ways to live well, and keep our land's wealth, maybe, as many other things are not shifted, or worsened by any new way of thinking, or any new times, even now can we keep thiftiness both in our thoughts, and in our deeds. Our leaders then ought to help us who are thrifty, that our steadfastness get a little lift, if it should ever weaken.
