With so many unemployed veterans who would love to work why not employ them as the safekeepers of our schools? They are already trained to a large degree and couple that with a training program specific to working in a school environment we could not only cause job creation but address the issue of the safety and security of our children in school from elementary to high school. We don't want our schools to be secured like jails but to have trained, professional 'officers' in uniform patrolling the hallways and exterior of the schools will make the children feel safer but also the parents and staff. This would be a win-win situation, creating jobs for veterans and keeping our schools safe.
