We get it. Math is important. But so are a lot of other things, and kids with no interest in a math career are missing out on electives or advanced English or IB classes to take calculus and trigonometry- things that will not be used in day to day life unless you go into a math career. It makes sense that math is required through a middle school level, but we shouldn't force people to take complicated advanced math classes in the place of classes that would contribute to their preferred job path.
