Higher the punishment for those guilty of rape

The punishment for those found guilty of rape on average are sent to prison for six years; this is an unjust and unjustifiable crime that should have a much higher punishment. There is no reason for a rapist to be justified under the ideas that "The victim was asking for it" or others similar. In personal opinion parties found guilty should serve time in prison for a minimal of 25 years. Not only are these criminals often taking the victims virginity but they are also scarring them; in cases of young girls, victims may be afraid to be around any male for years, and have other stresses or fears stretching from the event. No person should even get away with rape, yet the highest majority of those whom of which commit rape get off free. Along with punishment, higher the amount of those jailed
