Higher Requirements and Restrictions for EBT Access Card Holders:

EBT Access Cards are designed to help individuals or families of lower income buy food and provide them with medicial aid. However, many people, who do not need the cards, are taking advantage of them and are using the money that can go to the people who actually need it. Each year the Government funds over $3 billion dollars per state for the program. When applying for an EBT Access Card, savings, retirement accounts, vehicles, etc., are not included when determining eligibility. Everytime I see someone use an Access Card, I also see them driving nice cars, having flat screen TVs in thier homes, and buying the most expensive foods. This goes to show that there are many problems with the EBT Access Card program that need to be fixed. There must be more requirements and restrictions.
