Higher wages for social workers

I am writing this petition to advocate on behalf of social workers everywhere. Social work practitioners work hard with society, individuals, and the government to ensure that human rights are equal for all individuals. Social workers are in school from 4-6 years, yet are paid the same wages as individuals who have been in school for only 1-2 years. The labor and case load of social workers and extensive research should be acknowledged and compensated In the salaries. Lawyers, doctors, and physchologist are serving society guided by ethics, yet these occupations make double sometimes triple the pay of social workers. Also, social workers have equal amounts of loans as all other undergradutes, but do not receive loan forgiveness or wages that compensate.
