Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey provided a statement on July 5, 2016 regarding the investigation of Secretary Clinton’s use of a personal e-mail system during her time as Secretary of State. In his statement, Director Comey stated that his team's investigation "did find evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information. " Moreover, the Director found that a person who engaged in this activity would face consequences. He stated that "Those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions." What steps has the Executive Branch taken in adjudicating the security or administrative sanctions for Secretary Clinton and the others involved?
