hire and train U.S.veterans, especially the disabled, to process the VA's backlogged medical and disability claims

Created by C.S. on May 27, 2013

There is a huge, shameful backlog of unprocessed claims at Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Many vets have been waiting months, even years, to have their claims processed and get their well-deserved benefits. Meanwhile, many of them are out of work because of their injuries and disabilities. We call on the Obama Administration to order the Dept. of Defense to re-direct enough funds to employ U.S. military veterans in (civilian or military) jobs to process the backlog of claims, training them, as needed. This will kill many birds with one stone. And it's the right thing to do.
