Objective: Honor our military by providing jobs, training, and benefits for serving our country. This could also be used to reduce long term unemployment and disability payments.
Suggested Steps:
1) Create a team in each state to train veterans to input the paper backlog into the Veterans Benefits Management system.
2) Create a second tier team with clearance to obtain any missing documentation and work with those awaiting care.
3) Establish a turn around time for completing any documentation. Repeat delays would reduce income for those who do not comply.
4) Performance of team members would be evaluated every quarter after standards were established.
5) No salary increase for Congress or Senate while backlog is over 30 days.
