In order to maintain and manage illegal gun sales, we need to have a full time director of the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. We also need to remove the constraints around the department to allow them the ability to crack down on illegal gun sales, and enforce existing laws. We need more than 2500 agents in the field to manage the 100,000 dealers in our country. Also a registry of the transactions made by gun dealers needs to be created and maintained, to determine who is responsible for illegal gun sales. And have routine inventory inspections.
