This petition is to get the wheels turning for our economy and nation. Older Americans aren’t retiring. Younger workers aren’t being hired. There are many ways to get us moving and even the smallest nudge could build momentum for future generations.
Older workers need to feel comfortable enough to retire and let a new generation take the lead. Start by increasing benefits for those ready to retire, so they will, then increase job opportunities, don’t freeze hiring and push people out of the workplace (FAA's recent choice). My Fiancee and I are both waiting to be Air Traffic Controllers and we’re wondering if we can live the ‘American Dream’. We are not the only ones, let’s rebuild this nation with innovation and ideas from those waiting for the opportunity so our nation can prosper again.
