Hire more ATF (Federal Bureau of) Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents and revoke the limitations that exist on them

Created by A.S. on January 20, 2013

Hire more ATF agents
-There were 2500 agents on the ATF team in the 70s and there are still 2500 ATF agents today.
Revoke the following limitations:
- 57% of all guns used in crimes, the illegal guns, can only be traced back to just 1% of licensed gun dealers. The ATF could create a federal registry of gun transactions and trace them back to the bad dealers who are flooding the city with illegal guns and could be stopped. However, the Bureau is prohibited from creating a federal registry of gun transactions.
-The ATF isn't allowed to inspect gun dealers more than once every year but in reality inspections are done at a rate of about one every 17 years. HIRE MORE AGENTS!
-The ATF also can not require dealers to keep track of their own gun inventories.
