We the People petition President Obama to consider hiring on Military Veterans as the Guards to EVERY Public school in the United States of America. They have the training to perform this job to ensure the safety of our children. They will also have a set salary and Health benefits. The payment of the Guard will be upon the Government and the taxpayers.
If possible, having one to two guards placed at each school would be ideal. They would ensure the safety of all students and staff. This will give employment to those who need it and ensure our children's safety.
While having school staff trained with a weapon and allowing them to possibly carry them sounds good to some, not everyone is mentally or emotionally capable of firing a weapon.Having someone professionally trained is ideal.
