Hire a Vet!
Our veterans are a rich source of highly qualified candidates for our most challenging federal jobs. The failure of our government to pass a budget and avoid sequestration, though, has frozen out our veterans from federal employment.
Under current hiring freeze rules, only current federal employees can continue in the hiring process for open vacancies. Laws such as the VRA and VEOA grant vets equal access to apply for most federal jobs, but the current hiring freeze denies them further consideration.
Our veterans that have honorably served and bravely fought for our Nation ought not bear the cost of government's failures. They and their families deserve better.
Support our veterans and tell our government to exempt our veterans from the hiring freeze and Hire a Vet!
