Hire Veterans as trained armed guards in our schools to protect students and drop the Veteran's unemployment rate.

I propose hiring veterans to perform as armed guards in our nations schools. Our Veterans are trained, willing and able to protect our country abroad as well as here at home. They posses the training and knowledge to react to active shooters that may enter our schools and kill our children. They also have an extremely difficult time finding employment after their service has ended. What better way to protect our children and support our troops than to place one veteran in as many schools as we can as an armed guard who can be the first responder to the act? Hiring these trained professionals will save on training expenses, as veterans have most of the training already.
