All speeches and advertisements either by or approved by the elected official during the campaign should be held up in court as a binding verbal agreement.
Any elected official that acts against or dishonors this verbal agreement will be subject to legal action by the constituents of that elected official for falsely misrepresenting the intentions to the public.
