hold all elected officials to the same standards of every other American.

Elected officials are not above the laws that apply to the voters of this country. Officials should be barred from reelection when the deficit exceeds 3%. They should not receive tenure/pension or any monies after serving. The congressional retirement fund should be moved to Social Security and they participate in that as do we the people. They need to purchase a retirement plan as do we the people. They earn their pay raises as decided by we the people. They buy their own health care insurance and abide by the same laws as we the people. They should be taxed at the same rate as we the people which should be a flat 10% for every income earning American. They should remember that they work for us and we are the 99%. We the people.
