Every facet of government always claim to be doing "the will of the people", yet there is gridlock in Washington. These are mutually exclusive.
Politicians constantly quote all sorts of polls, depending on which ones favor their position.
Once a year, the government shall poll the people, and get a real gauge on their feelings on the topics they keep stalling on.
They should also stop quoting random polls to back their positions and use this as a real gauge of the "will of the people"
