Hold Auto Insurance companies responcible for dening ligitmate claims for not having legal representation

I was denied a claim by State Farm Auto Insurance because they said that the staute of limitations has run out and since i did not have a laywer they do not have to pay even though the evidence provided says different. They lied about their first investigation by saying that they had contacted all nessasary parties involved but never did when we questioned them about said investigation. They also waited until the last momnent to send a deniel letter just when the staute of limitations ran out, leaving no time to consult with a laywer. They knew what they were doing ,all just to save their bottom line.
