Hold committee hearings on a Student Loan Forgiveness plan as a means to simulate the economy and unburden a generation.

Created by E.C. on June 21, 2013

An entire generation is crippled by over 1 trillion in student debt. This could have dire economic implications for the U.S. in the near future as the average loan-borrower will rarely ever rise above the poverty line. The federal government has an historic opportunity (and obligation) to ensure the financial security of its citizens.
A Student Loan Forgiveness plan could work several ways. One approach would be to increase funding to existing federal programs such as Peace-corps and Ameri-corps and/or by creating new debt-forgiveness volunteer programs.
On behalf of the American student, please create a committee to examine the student debt issue and help free millions of students from this unrealistic financial expectation. "Beware of the College-Industrial-Complex."
