Due to the lack of active participation; and abject apathy by members of both houses of Congress in their feeble attempts at passing a Federal budget or even proposing to pass a budget; Congress will remain in session – without pay - until such time that a budget is proposed, passed, and signed into law.
Furthermore, all legislative and executive staff will have their budgets cut by 30% for the next ten (10) years, additionally, no further self-appointed congressional raises for a period of ten (10) years. And once that time has expired, congressional raises will be based on US median income + 5%.
Congress will no long have the amount of recess (vacation) that they currently enjoy. Congress will receive the same amount of time off as accorded to all other Federal employees.
