This petition is a direct result of all the yelling about not holding confirmation hearings until after the POTUS elections. Since the GOP feels that the citizens should have a voice in the selection of the next justice and ironically a petition has been created on this site to support that position.
So fellow citizens.....putting aside the fact that each person voiced their opinion during the election of the current President and never in the history of SCOTUS has a confirmation been put off as a result of a election year.
Sign this petition to remind all elected officials....your responsibilites end the day you leave office. Up and until then you have a job to do. Hold confirmation hearings and do not keep the court from it's work!
