Hold a Constitutional Convention

We believe that the fundamental dysfunction in American society is a lack of direct interaction with our most important foundational document, The Constitution. To encourage a thorough national conversation of the exact language and provisions for government limitation, citizens' protections and the role of the American republic in the world, we believe that a Constitutional Convention should be held in which the people of America, via their state and local governments, popularly re-ratify the Amendments of the Constitution, possibly authoring new ones as the dialogue progresses. This should probably be prefaced with an extensive educational campaign, spearheaded by the executive branch.
