Hold elected U.S. politicians accountable for lying to the American public by means of removal from office

Politicians need to be held accountable for statements they make to the American public. For example, if a politician says something like "there will be no new taxes" for a certain law they want to pass or "this new program will not add to the deficit" on tv, radio, internet, and/or newsprint and the law gets passed or the program goes into place and then the direct opposite happens and they tell us taxes must be increased because of the law or the deficit must be increased because of the new program then these politicians need to be removed from office for lying to the American public. If you lie to your employer you can be fired. Politicians are employed by the American people and if they lie to us then they should be fired too. Plain and simple and enough is enough
