Last week the Navajo Nation and areas surrounding it were hit with by devastating mistake by the EPA.
Over 3 million gallons of toxic wastewater spilled into the Animas River after a "mistake" by the EPA cased contamination water to flow into the Animas River.
This wastewater contains heavy metals that with directly affect the Navajo Nation and surrounding populations. This area relies heavily on the river and it's water for it's plant life and livestock. After the accident it's been found out that it will take decades to clear up.
At this point the EPA has not issued an apology or plan of action. They have asked members of the tribe to sign waivers to avoid being sued.
This is inexcusable.
We're demand the EPA to accept responsibility, apologize and help correct it together.
