Hold a hearing to approve Judge Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court.

Created by E.K. on October 31, 2016

1. Whereas it is the Constitutional responsibility of the Senate to provide Advice and Consent to all Presidential nominees
2. Whereas it is necessary for the proper functioning of our government to have a fully staffed three branches of government
3. Whereas it is necessary for the proper functioning of our government to have cordial relations between the two major political parties
4. Whereas Merrick Garland has been called a "fine man" and recommended by Senator Hatch
5. Whereas it has been more than 225 days since Merrick Garland was nominated by President Obama, more than 100 days longer than the previous longest waiting Justice

It is incumbent on the Senate to perform their duty and either approve or reject Merrick Garland immediately.
