FDA regulations should be amended to either hold homeopathic medicine to the same testing and regulatory standards as modern medicine, or prohibit packaging these products as medicinal.
Right now, well tested and regulated drugs based on ingredients like acetaminophen and ibuprofen are sold in pharmacies side by side with homeopathic remedies. These homeopathic products tend to advertise that they are "All Natural" (not mentioning that the all natural ingredients are naturally occurring poisons), list no adverse effects (since the FDA acknowledges the "medicine" is flavored water), and don't even need to acknowledge the fact that, despite the official looking label, they are virtually unregulated.
The net effect is an official FDA label on a box of snake oil in the medicine aisle.
