Hold the individuals accountable for the theft and abuse with EBT cards during the shutdown responsible for their theft.

Created by A.S. on October 18, 2013

During the shutdown, the EBT program suffered a glitch that temporarily erased the spending limits on the cards.
People with EBT cards in Louisiana took advantage of this and filled up DOZENS of shopping carts in 2 WalMarts (WM) with items, clearing the stores.

Now WM is being told they have to pay the bill for the actions of these people. Obviously, that is immoral. Neither the government nor WM is responsible for the choices of these people to go out and abuse the system, as the cards represented the intentions of these people to pay. It's like WM received a bad check, and somehow WM is stuck with the bill.

It is not about the dollar amount, it is about the principle. POTUS, stand with principles and hold these people responsible. Either cancel their cards, or bill them for WM's costs.
