The US has been standing by as Israel continues to pile on oppressive policies in the Occupied Territories. In recent days they have called for the building of new settlements in areas critical to achieving peace and have decided to withhold the meager funding it "gives" the territories. The world now sees clearly what Israel is doing and public sentiment the world over has turned against it.
It is time for the US to stand up for what's right and against current Israeli policy through reductions in US funding. Let us not be on the wrong side of history.
And let us realize that this stance is very much pro-Israel. As an American Jew I strongly believe that if Israel is to survive it MUST be saved from itself.
Do what is right, President Obama. Put our muscle behind a two state solution
