Hold a large parade in DC honoring our Veterans and in celebration of the end of the Iraq War.

The one sad fact about the Vietnam War was that the troops who returned home did not get honored like those returning home from Europe and Japan after WWII. We should not make the same mistake again. The Troops who fought in Iraq deserve a special parade in Washington, DC to celebrate their achievements and to honor them and all other Veterans. This should be a special occasion, not held on Veterans Day, though all Veterans should be allowed to participate should they wish. The living Medal of Honor winners should be the grand marshals of the parade. Now that the war in Iraq is over we should try to honor our Veterans’ service there, and in all our armed conflicts. Plus, there really is nothing like a good parade.
