Politicians can be a corrupt group, no secret there. If good leadership is set by example and works from the top down then shouldn't then be subject to the same laws and consequences as our soldiers (many of who work for less than minimum wage) are in the UCMJ (Uniformed Code of Military Justice).
This would HELP keep them more accountable for their actions and hold them to higher standards.
