it should be a requirement for every lawmaker to visit a disaster site, even if it is not in their home state. it is easy to pass judgement after the television channel is changed of how much help is needed, but when our government is face to face with victims, we can really tell who really cares. in light of the funding for FEMA, and our House of Representatives are willing to shut the government down rather than increase the fund, if they were made to look first hand at the areas and tell the people face to face, "we don't have the money or our 'budget' won't allow it", the next election people will think before they vote!
