The media is used to inform the people of events that effect the people in every way. Their abilities to use television can easily be used to push an agenda without facts. The first ammendment provides for opinions to be made and heard, but when corporations that make a profit to give a service misinform the public they must be held to a higher standard.
Like any other business that provides a harmful service to the public, they must be held accountable.
