The major news medias have misinformed the the people of the US by reporting news that turns out to be either a complete lie or not the entire story. People rely on the news to know what is happening in the world. Far too many times have misinformation caused riots, incites fear resulting in the loss of American lifes and millions of dollars in damages, because lie or just incomplete story.
In North Carolina for example it was reported that a man was gunned down by police in cold blood who was doing nothing wrong and was only carrying a book. This story caused riots, further more violence, causing the governor to declare a state of emergency which taxpayers are paying for. As it turns out the story was wrong. I say hold the media responsible to pay for the damages caused by a lie.
