Hold Michele Leonhart accountable for her comments under oath relating to the physiological harm caused by Marijuana use

Created by M.L. on November 30, 2012

In 2012, Leonhart testified before Congress and refused to say that marijuana is less addictive or harmful than methamphetamine, heroin, or crack-cocaine. With two states voting for recreational use of marijuana, has she changed her views?

I have started this petition with the intent of bringing Michele Leonhart back before Congress so she can re-testify and this time hopefully do her job as head of the DEA. She responded to many questions about the varying levels of harm caused by different drugs by simply stating "All illegal drugs are bad". I petition the White House to hold her accountable for refusing to answer pertinent questions with factual responses, and if she is unable to perform this duty, she should not be allowed the privilege of employment as the Head of the DEA.
