Hold an Open and Fair Hearing on the FairTax.

This petition is to compel the administration to conduct open and fair hearings on the FairTax as proposed in the House of Representative Bill 25: The Fair Tax Act of 2011. These hearings will include: economist, businessmen, politicians, and tax experts. Representatives from the Americans for Fair Taxation will be asked specifically to speak during the proceedings. The aforementioned act would institute a national sales tax in lieu of of several taxes levied on the American people and American businesses, such as the: income tax, Social Security tax, Medicare tax, corporate income tax, "death" tax, self-employment tax, alternative minimum tax, gift tax, and capital gains tax.
