Favoring their personal agendas over the welfare of our economy, the House Leader and the Republican Party caused the United States government to come to a standstill, causing millions of people to lose work and nearly plunging our country into economic default. Financial estimates say this shutdown cost the US economy $24 billion dollars!
We the people will not stand for a bought government any longer. We have been sacrificed in favor of big businesses and personal agendas that they have chosen to serve above the ones who elected them.
To that end, we are seeking $24 billion in damages from the people responsible for the government shutdown.
The American people are suffering from our government's actions, and it's their personal paychecks that should be paying for those actions.
