I have created this petition because of my 4 yr old Miniature Pinscher being attacked and killed only 2 days after another neighbors was attacked. I am outraged! After investigating Delaware Statues and contacting other counties, towns and cities I am finding that there is nothing being done. And the victims are left broken with no answers.
We want to see legislation passed making it a criminal offense if a dog attacks, maims or kills...PERIOD. Those involved shall be held accountable under the criminal code and be punished accordingly. Any animal that attacks, maims or kills shall be put down. One attack is one too many. If that is bothersome, it should be, blame the negligence of the irresponsible pet owner. Strict laws ensuring accountability and consequence for negligent pet owners.
