I am a gun and if left alone I would not harm anyone. In order for me to cause harm it takes a person. Most people use me responsibly, but there are certainly exceptions.
Unfortunately my owner was not responsible and I was used in a horrible crime. While very tragic I am just an inanimate object so it is not my fault that my owner allowed a mentally unstable to gain access to me.
Please submit bills to create laws that hold irresponsible gun owners accountable for not keeping weapons away from children, people who are mentally ill or known criminals.
