Recent pictures and evidence of the Abu Ghraib torture scandal have surfaced and have not been properly examined. The Bush administration authorized torture and whether it be through private contractors or not--it is illegal and inhumane. Our country openly condemns other nation's acts against humanity but turn a blind eye to our own blatant violations against the sanctity of human life. The America I know and love values human life and strives to protect it. Please President Obama show the world we do not think of ourselves as above the law.
