Hold the Postal Service More Accountable.

Created by J.P. on December 10, 2012

The Postal Service is entirely free of accountability if a package is lost or stolen due to a mail carrier not following procedure or just plain being lazy. There needs to be something in place to hold the Postal Service or mail carrier accountable. Too often packages are just left in the open for anyone to steal and scanned into the system as delivered. Or the carrier will have a package requiring a signature - rather than trying again another day, they will have some random neighbor sign for it and that will be that. What if I don't like or trust that neighbor? There are too many ways that our packages can be neglected and never end up in our hands for the USPS to not be held accountable for. This needs to be fixed. There need to be safeguards for the people who USE the USPS.
