Small states such as Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina decide who runs for President in their primaries before all other states...including the large ones. These small states have different needs and issues than the larger ones such as Florida, Michigan and New York.
The candidates for President almost know the whole town of voters in New Hampshire. Why should they not know the issues and citizens of other states who are larger and have different mandates, etc.?
In the past, Florida and Michigan delegates lost half their voting power at the party convention because they wanted to vote early like Iowa, etc. That is wrong and not democratic.
The FEC should make primaries fair in all states since their party members can't seem to do the job for voters. It is not democratic.
