Wells Fargo acting as servicer sent false documents to thousands of Americans to sign to execute loan modifications.
The documents are false because they name Wells Fargo as the "lender" (even on the Truth in Lending forms) when in fact Wells Fargo is only the servicer and the actual lender is not disclosed. Furthermore Well Fargo did not disclose that they were signing on behalf of the actual lender.
They deceived thousands of Americans and then used the false documents to foreclose on them.
Signers of this petition believe 1) the banks should not be making people sign false documents and 2) the White House (or CFPB) should pursue restitution for these homeowners.
