The year 2016 has been rough for many people, and given the election result, 2017 is going to be quite rough for federal employees whose department acronyms do not end in D. We humbly request: Instead of (or in addition to?) 2 or 4 hours of administrative leave the day before Thanksgiving, can federal employees please have the full day off on Friday, November 25, 2016? Many federal employees take personal leave the day after Thanksgiving, but giving us administrative leave for that day would give us more time with our families during this stressful period while saving us personal leave time which many of us are going to need in the next 6-12 months to try to find new jobs as our current ones disappear or change for the worse.
