The New Home Loan Reforms for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans are wonderful. Unfortunately, there are lots of
us who do not have loans covered by Fannie and Freddie.
If you were persistent enough to have come up with a loan
modification, it usually involves a huge balloon payment
at the end of the loan. There needs to be a refinance solution for ALL home loans. Loan companies were never
forced to comply with HARP and HAMP , etc. So
many of us have homes that are still underwater by
20-30% even with a loan modification.
