In the wake of the mass shootings our Country has witnessed, it's time for our government to keep us safe:
Ammunition should not be available to purchase online or through phone orders, catalogs, etc. All ammunition purchases should be made in person with identification, and then recorded, tracked and monitored by Homeland Security in a federal database.
In 2007 at Virginia Tech, there were nineteen 10 and 15 round magazines and nearly 400 rounds of ammunition. In Aurora this year, the suspect purchased 6,000 rounds of ammunition online. Now we learn that hundreds of rounds of deadly ammunition, enough to kill just about every student, were brought to Sandy Hook Elementary School.
These massacres could have been prevented if ammo purchasing was limited and monitored by the Government.
