Over 10,000 people in Seattle Washington go homeless on the streets every night without a shelter. 9% of these homeless people are veterans that have served our country. Within some of these homeless people there are families with kids that are being forced to suffer because the parents couldn’t afford to live in a house and the kids automatically have to follow them where ever they go. In Seattle there are over a dozen shelters that are being shut down because of funding not being sufficient. If these shelters shut down that makes over 300 fewer beds for homeless people to use instead of sleeping under bridges and in tent cities. If something isn’t done about the homeless shelters soon, then the number of homeless people is going to keep increasing just like it has been doing for years.
