74 men went down with their ship June 3, 1969 during military maneuvers, yet their names are not counted among the Vietnam combat dead so they are not on the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
These brave men deserve to be remembered alongside their comrades on the wall.
Their families...those who remain...have suffered this travesty of justice for over 44 years now.
It is time our country...their country...made this right.
Put aside political correctness...military protocol...whatever might be standing in the way of making this happen.
Get their names on the wall.
Now...while 93 year old mommas like Poofanny Box in Athens Alabama can at least run her frail fingers over the name of her little boy at the wall knowing he has been honored as he and his 73 fellow shipmates should be.
Lest we forget..
